Dr. Kate Sweeny
|
Dr. Kate Sweeny is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. She received her B.S. (2002) from Furman University and her M.S. (2003) and Ph.D. (2008) from the University of Florida, where she studied social psychology with James Shepperd, Ph.D. When she's not at work, you can find Kate hanging out with her husband and their wacky dog Mojo, teaching and performing Middle Eastern dance, wine tasting, practicing yoga, (re)learning French, and enjoying nature by hiking or camping.
For this TEDx talk, Dr. Sweeny will be going over how uncertainty during times of hardships, like COVID-19, can affect how people react, whether emotionally or physically. |
Dr. Linda Ercoli

Dr. Linda Ercoli is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior, David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles experienced in intervention program development for cognitive rehabilitation for patients with cancer related cognitive changes and patients with mild cognitive impairment and difficulties related to normal aging; caregiver educational programs and educational videos; group psychotherapy interventions for newly diagnosed patients with dementia and care partners.
In her TEDx talk, Dr. Ercoli will be talking about how pandemics affect the psyche, physical, emotional or psychological, and financial consequences, strategies on how to cope and caregiving during COVID-19. |

Stephanie Holt has over 25 years of work experience both domestically and internationally. Previously holding executive leadership positions in public and private technology companies for over 15 years, Stephanie understands the complexity, challenges, and rewards of working in both large multinational companies and in financial/technology start-up environments. Her focus has always been on driving business outcomes and creating places where people love to work. Currently she spends 100% of her time promoting diversity in STEM.
